Naomi Calverd has a strong background in teaching mathematics at various educational institutions. Naomi started their career as a Teacher of Mathematics at Presdales School in 2008 and taught students from Year 7 to Year 13. During their tenure, they gained experience in teaching A-Level Mechanics and Decision Mathematics. Naomi then moved to Marlborough College Malaysia in 2013, where they taught Mathematics to students in Year 9 to Year 11 and also served as a Pastoral Tutor.
In 2016, Naomi joined Le Régent International School as a Houseparent and Teacher of Mathematics. In addition to teaching Mathematics to students in Year 4 to Year 11, they were jointly responsible for the pastoral care of all boys in the senior school.
Their next role was at Marlborough College Malaysia, starting in 2018, where they served as a Teacher of Mathematics for Year 7 to Year 13. Naomi taught various courses, including IGCSE and IB courses such as Applications and Interpretations SL and HL, Maths Studies, and Theory of Knowledge. Naomi also took on the role of a Boarding Tutor in the Senior Boys' Boarding House.
In 2021, Naomi joined Save My Exams as a Content Creator, and their most recent work experience was as a Parent Governor at The Petersfield School, starting in 2022.
Naomi Calverd obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Civil Engineering from Durham University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Later, in 2007 to 2008, they pursued a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. This indicates their interest and expertise in both Civil Engineering and Secondary Education and Teaching.
