Katherine Buchanan is a Professor at Savannah College of Art and Design since 2013, specializing in digital design and hands-on techniques with a focus on the textile industry, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Designer at Desso, where designs for the hospitality market were created, and Designer positions at Couristan and Brintons, focusing on custom broadloom and hand-tufted designs for various high-end markets including hotels and casinos. Additional experience encompasses design consulting at KDB Designs LLC, where iconic architecture and botanical renderings were developed for digital printing, and as a Print Designer at Culp, overseeing fabric designs and color matching. Katherine holds an MFA in Fibers from Savannah College of Art and Design and a BFA in Textiles from East Carolina University.
