Basavalingam D has over two decades of experience in information systems and engineering, currently serving as the Head (Assistant Vice President) of Information Systems at Satyam Venture Engineering Services Private Limited since April 2003, where responsibilities include the design, development, and deployment of ERP applications using Oracle and Java technologies. Prior roles at the same company include Project Manager and Project Leader for systems. Basavalingam's earlier experience includes a position as a Senior Engineer in CAD/CAM at Satyam Computer Services Limited, where Computer Aided Design solutions for refrigerator designs were provided to General Electric Appliances, and as a Senior Engineer in Project Planning at Ashok Leyland, focusing on process planning for gearbox component manufacturing. Basavalingam holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, completed in 1996.
