Ricky Marek has over 30 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Ricky began their career in 1989 as a Software Engineer and System/Network Administrator at Fibronics Inc. where they were responsible for programming the management bus interconnecting Token Ring cards in the Giga Hub chassis using HDLC and programming of the Port Management Module in Token Ring cards. In 1995, they joined Siemens Data Communications as a Senior Software Engineer and was responsible for the design and programming of the new Web-Based Management Systems using Java technology from Sun and AdventNet SNMP Packages. Ricky also had embedded programming and design for modules in Ethernet switch agents. In 1999, they joined Seabridge as part of the acquisition of Siemens Data Communications. At Seabridge, they were the group leader for a group of Java programmers in Karmiel (Siemens) that implemented layer3 capabilities in the same NMS system. In 2000, they joined WaveIP as a Senior Software Engineer and System Engineer where they were responsible for the network architecture in all WaveIP projects. In 2002, they joined Conexant Systems Israel as a Senior Software Engineer and was responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a DOCSIS 2.0 Cable Modem firmware. In 2008, they joined NXP as a Staff Software Engineer and was responsible for the Host software driver for the DVB-T2 IC. In 2010, they joined Trident Microsystems as a Staff Software Engineer and tailored the MoCA reference SW design based on a Xtensa processor to Trident SoC. Ricky also wrote several Microsoft Tools in order to run the MoCA CTP Certification from Matlab. In 2011, they joined Given Imaging as an Embedded Software Engineer. In 2012, they joined Entropic Communications as a Staff Software Engineer. Lastly, in 2014, they joined SatixFy Limited as a Staff Software Engineer.

Ricky Marek attended Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989 and obtained a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Electrical Engineering Faculty.
