Anthony Baker has been working in the satellite industry since 1988. Anthony began their career at Ofcom as a Senior Professional & Technical Officer in the Mobile Satellite division. In 1993, they moved to NATO C3 Agency as a Senior Scientist in the SATCOM Branch. Anthony then joined AsiaSat in 1997 as Manager of the Engineering Department. In 1999, they became Vice President at New Skies Satellites B.V. and in 2006 they were promoted to Vice President at SES. In 2011, they joined Es'hailSat - the Qatar Satellite Company as Chief Strategy Officer, acting as CEO and founding member of the senior management team. In 2016, they founded and became CEO of Satellite Vu.
Anthony Baker has a diverse educational background. Anthony completed a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Electronic & Electrical Eng. from the University of Birmingham between 1983 and 1987. Anthony then went on to pursue an M.Sc. in Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey between 1988 and 1989. In 1994 and 1996, they completed an Executive MBA in The Value of Orbital Locations from the European University The Hague. Most recently, they completed a Sustainable Finance Foundation Course from the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment - University of Oxford in 2019 and 2020.
