Chris Martins MSc., PMP® has an extensive work experience in project coordination, program planning, and project controls. Chris is currently working as a Project Coordinator at Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Project Controller at Wood from 2021 to 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a Program Planning Manager at Squadserv Technologies, where they developed project charters, communicated project expectations, and tracked project milestones and deliverables. Before that, they worked as a Project Coordinator at Activity D from 2013 to 2019, where they planned, managed, and coordinated the delivery of technical and logistical support to oil and gas construction projects. Chris also has experience as a Project Controls Engineer at AMEC from 2010 to 2013, a Doctoral Researcher at RGU from 2010 to 2012, a Project Support at Balmoral Comtec in 2009, and a Well Testing Engineer at Geoservices in 2004.

Chris Martins MSc., PMP® has a rich education history. In 2000 to 2005, they attended Technology jobs update and completed their BEng in Petroleum Engineering. Following that, from 2008 to 2009, they pursued an MSc in Project Management at Robert Gordon University. Continuing their academic journey, from 2010 to 2015, they pursued a PhD in Project Engineering at the same university.

Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2010, they became a Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management 8 Certified Implementation Specialist from Oracle. In 2012, they obtained certifications in Project Controls Specialist from ECITB Global and First Line Management from the Chartered Management Institute. Most recently, in 2020 and 2021, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute and the Master Certificate in Practice Management (MCPM) from Edwards Executive Education, University of Saskatchewan respectively.
