Lana (Svetlana) Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lana (Svetlana) started their career as a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Kimama in 2012 and worked in that role until 2015. In 2016, Lana served as an Advisor at Small Arms Survey for a brief period.
From 2017-2019, they worked as a Foreign Affairs & International Media Advisor to Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat for the Municipality of Jerusalem, where they provided research, translated documents, and assisted at high-level events.
Lana then joined the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations in 2018 as a Human Rights Advisor. In this role, they negotiated on behalf of Israel in UN meetings, provided advice on UN resolutions, and led a campaign against antisemitism.
In 2019, Lana joined IOI Israel Outreach Initiative as a Project Coordinator. Lana (Svetlana)'sresponsibilities included building investor relations for Israeli startups and coordinating visits by ambassadors and high-level officials to Israel, Russia, and Poland.
Lana (Svetlana) then worked as an Account Associate at GKPR from 2020-2021, where they represented startups in various fields and secured media opportunities for clients in top-tier publications.
In 2021, Lana worked as a Global Strategy Consultant as an independent contractor until 2022, where they provided strategic guidance on a global scale.
Most recently, Lana joined Sarona Partners in 2022 as a Program Manager of 365x Scale Up by Sarona Partners. Currently, they are working at Sarona Ventures as an Investor Relations professional.
Lana Shapiro attended the International School of Zug and Luzern from 2011 to 2014, where they completed their high school education and obtained an International Baccalaureate DP. Subsequently, they enrolled at Boston University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs: Middle East, Europe, and International Systems. Lana studied at the university from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at the Boston University - Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies (Pardee School) in Geneva, focusing on International Relations and Affairs.
