Daniel A Hagen, PhD, currently serves as Senior Lead Engineer for Controls at Palladyne AI since April 2024. Previously, Daniel held roles as Senior Robotics Controls Engineer and Controls Engineer at Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation from November 2020 to April 2024. Daniel's academic experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern California, with a focus on machine learning, robotics, and applied electrophysiology. Additionally, Daniel has experience in education as a private tutor and as a business owner and head chef of a catering company. Daniel holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Arizona.
