Kaviraj Singh began their career in 1991 as a Software Programmer at Citicorp Overseas Software Ltd. In 1993, they joined Microsoft as a General Manager (Authoring Tools), where they had a variety of roles spanning management, development, program management, and marketing. Kaviraj was responsible for building and managing a team of 30 people and designed and shipped version 1.0 of MS Expression, an authoring tool for graphic designers and application developers. Kaviraj also worked on Biztalk, an enterprise process automation platform. In 2005, they became the CEO of Saralweb.com, a workforce management system designed for the enterprise supply chain labour ecosystem. Kaviraj designed the platform to eliminate financial and reputation risks for large enterprises by pushing automated book-keeping and compliance into each contractor's business.
Kaviraj Singh completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi between 1983 and 1987. Kaviraj then went on to obtain their Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad between 1989 and 1991. Lastly, they obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington between 1996 and 1998.
