Randy Byers is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in the lighting metrology industry, currently employed at Sapphire Technical Solutions since December 2013. Responsibilities include software design, coding, debugging, and customer collaboration to define custom functionality. Prior experience at Progress Software spanned from 2004 to 2013, where Randy held various roles, culminating as the Custom QA Team Lead, ensuring quality across custom engineered projects and developing automated processes. Additional roles include QA Engineer positions focused on ODBC data connectivity products and OEM support engineering at DataDirect Technologies, as well as business analysis and research technician roles in earlier career stages. Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Connecticut.
