Jim McCoury has over 30 years of professional experience in creative design, marketing, and advertising. Jim began their career in 1988 as a Catalog Director/Designer at BizMart, where they were responsible for every aspect of catalog/ad construction and retail signage/support for all locations. In 1992, they moved to Cabela's as a Senior Art Director, where they were responsible for layout and design of advertising, catalogs and retail support/signage. Jim then joined Musicians Friend in 1999 as the Director of Creative Services, overseeing an in-house ad agency and managing advertising, branding, website content, catalogs, retail, POP, and all collateral pieces. In 2004, they took on the role of Marketing Manager at Cerus Industrial, creating and managing marketing plans, catalog creation, list management, and website management and development. Jim then moved to MarketLab in 2009 as the Catalog Creative Director, overseeing the creative services team and working with the executive team to complete the acquisition of Newmatic. In 2014, they joined Practicon Inc. as the Creative Director, responsible for the creative department and developing internal creative needs, including videos. In 2017, they joined Sapient Shopping as the Director of Creative Design, working to create the ultimate omnichannel shopping experience powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Most recently, they have been the Creative Master and Owner at Mdesigns since 2003, developing strong creative strategies to reinforce brands and goals.
Jim McCoury obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) Visual Communications degree from The Art Institutes in 1988-1989, with a field of study in Commercial and Advertising Art.
