Charles graduated with a BSc in Biology from the University of York, UK and obtained a PhD in Bioinformatics working at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain. He joined Saphetor in 2015, after completing his post-doctoral training in the Université Aix-Marseille, France. He has worked on a wide range of subjects, from genome annotation and comparative evolution, through protein-protein interaction networks, to NGS sequence analysis and is the author of several peer-reviewed academic papers.
