Xiao (Shawn) M. is a Senior Software Engineer at SAP since January 2020, specializing in cloud database engine and infrastructure design and development at SAP Labs. Previously, Xiao worked as a Software Engineer and Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2019, involved in various research projects, including efficient data representation for massive dynamic graphs. Earlier experience includes serving as a Database Research Intern at SAP in 2017, where a query-time sampling module for SAP IQ RDBMS was designed and implemented, leading to a patent and published paper.
