Brendan O'Brien is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the design and development of bicycle components. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at Santa Cruz Bicycles since May 2023, Brendan previously held the position of Senior Product Design Engineer at Fox Factory for nearly nine years, focusing on bicycle wheels and components. Prior engineering roles include tenures at Easton-Bell Sports and Specialized Bicycle Components, where Brendan worked on wheels, components, and road bike frames. Brendan began a career as a Professional Triathlete while self-employed from 2003 to 2005, achieving multiple accolades, including the title of 2005 Collegiate National Champion. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego, earned between 2000 and 2005.
