Rakesh Kakkar, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of Vaccines Industrial Operations at Sanofi since September 2016. Rakesh's responsibilities include overseeing Vaccines and Biologics manufacturing and site operations across multiple locations in the United States. Prior roles at Pfizer from July 2003 to September 2016 included leadership positions in manufacturing operations, technical services, and quality control within the Biotech division. Rakesh’s earlier career includes significant positions at Wyeth Biotech and Chembio Diagnostics System, where leadership in assay development and diagnostics further solidified expertise in biochemistry and manufacturing. Rakesh holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University and has completed several degrees in related fields, including a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
