Lavesh Gwalani is an experienced immunologist currently serving as the Immunology Group Head and Principal Scientist for Gene Therapy Immunology at Sanofi since September 2023, focusing on immune modulation strategies for gene therapy vectors. Previously, Lavesh held the position of Principal Scientist at Takeda from July 2018 to September 2023, leading early-phase drug discovery initiatives, including the development of hematopoietic stem cell-targeted CAR NK cell therapies and collaborating on gene therapy platforms. Earlier roles at Baylor College of Medicine and Agenus Inc involved significant contributions to immunological research, clinical trial assays, and quality control processes. Lavesh's academic background includes a PhD in Immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, an MS in Biomedical Sciences from Northeastern University, and an MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, complemented by coursework at Harvard Extension School.
