Constance Walter has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Constance started their career as a Restaurant Manager, overseeing dining room operations in various restaurants. After that, they worked as an Editor for Entertainment Magazines at the Lincoln Journal Star for seven years.
In 1999, Constance joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Communications Coordinator for the College of Engineering. In this role, they managed all communication efforts, including the website, alumni magazine, and recruitment materials. Constance also represented UNL at the Downtown Technology Fair in Lincoln, Nebraska.
From 2006 to 2009, Constance served as the Assistant Director for the Peru State College Foundation. Following that, they worked at Dickinson State University as the Director of University Relations. In this role, they served as the spokesperson for the university, oversaw media relations and marketing, and managed publications.
Constance also had their own consulting company, CW Consulting, where they worked closely with organizations to develop marketing plans, public relations strategies, and media relations. Constance provided services such as editing books, articles, magazines, and also worked as a writer.
In 2013, Constance became part of the Sanford Underground Research Facility as the Communications Director. In this role, they managed the communications department, overseeing strategic communications planning, media relations, and community relations. Constance also worked closely with executive management on strategic planning and internal/external communications.
Constance's work experience also includes a role as Assistant at the D.C. Booth Society, where they assisted the director with daily operations, led tours, and planned events. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Dickinson State University, teaching courses for one year.
Throughout their career, Constance has demonstrated skills in managing teams, strategic planning, crisis communications, event planning, and advocacy efforts.
Constance Walter obtained their AA degree in Liberal Arts from Bismarck State College in 1988. Following this, they pursued a BA degree in English and Communication Arts from Dickinson State University, which they completed in 1991. Later on, Constance enrolled at Peru State College and earned an MS degree in Organization Management in 2009.
