Lutz Tautz is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry and organic chemistry. At Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute since October 2002, Lutz has progressed through various academic roles, currently serving as a Research Associate Professor, and previously held positions as Research Assistant Professor, Staff Scientist, and Post-doctoral Associate. Concurrently, Lutz has been an Academic Founder and Scientific Advisor at Camino Pharma, LLC since April 2017. Lutz's academic journey includes significant teaching experience at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie from June 1997 to September 2002, coupled with a solid educational foundation consisting of a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and a Master of Science in Chemistry, both from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
