Hongbo Pang is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities since January 2018 and has served as a Research Assistant Professor and Staff Scientist at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute since September 2011. With a background in biochemistry and virology, Hongbo Pang's research focuses on the in vitro and in vivo characterization of drugs, drug carriers, and imaging agents. Prior to these roles, Hongbo Pang completed a Ph.D. at the University of Utah, where investigations centered on the relationship between virion stiffness and HIV infectivity through techniques such as atomic force microscopy and infectious assays. Undergraduate studies at Peking University involved molecular biology and biochemistry, investigating the function of the TEM domain in plant development.
