Karen Schulden has a diverse and extensive work experience in the banking industry. Karen began their career at Provident Bank in 1992, where they served as a Senior Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing a Small Business loan portfolio exceeding $200M. Karen also led various special projects within the Small Business Center.

In 2009, Karen joined M&T Bank as an Analyst, where they developed and implemented standard operating procedures for the Business Banking Division. Karen also played an active role in improving inefficiencies in the Small Business Administration funding process and was a team member for the implementation of the Commercial Loan Approval System (CLAS).

After their time at M&T Bank, Karen worked as a Credit Officer at Carrollton Bank from 2010 to 2013. Karen then moved to Bay Bank, where they served as a Credit Analyst and Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing a Commercial loan portfolio exceeding $30M. Karen'srole involved analyzing financial statements and reviewing credit reports for diverse types of loans.

From 2015 to 2020, Karen worked at Revere Bank as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing the management of loan portfolios. Currently, they are employed at Sandy Spring Bank, where they hold the position of VP- Commercial Lending Services. Karen previously served as the Team Leader and currently works as an Administrator.

Karen Schulden obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Anne Arundel Community College between the years 1978 and 1982. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Virginia Wesleyan University from 1990 to 1992.
