Stuart Evans has extensive experience in environment, health, and safety (EHS) within the mining sector. Currently serving as the Global EHS Vice President for Mining and Rock Technology and Head of EHS for the Sandvik Group since April 2006, Stuart previously held roles as the Global Environment, Health and Safety Director. Prior to Sandvik, Stuart worked as the Director and Principal Safety & Health Consultant at minRISK from 2003 to 2006, and as Corporate Safety & Health Manager at both Newcrest Mining from 1999 to 2003 and Western Mining from 1991 to 1998. Additionally, Stuart held the position of Corporate Safety at WMC Resources during the same period. Academic qualifications include a degree in Occupational Hygiene from Deakin University and a BSc in Physics from Flinders University, along with training from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
