Sofie Schunk is a Principal Systems Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, contributing to the Digital Engineering Transformation initiative since October 2019. With experience driving collaboration and culture change across various expert groups, Sofie has also served as Director of Athletics and Performance and Elite Athlete/Co-Founder for the Diabetes Sports Project, empowering individuals with diabetes through sports. Sofie's background includes advanced engineering roles at Dexcom and Rust Research at Marquette University, where a Master's thesis focused on personalized glucoregulation models for diabetic athletes. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Marquette University.
