Jonathan Thompkins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jonathan started their career as a Sales Support at MDI Group in 2012 and later worked as an Assistant at North Atlanta Cotillion. In 2013, they interned at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, where they gained skills in database creation and management. Jonathan then worked as a Guest Service Associate at Towne Park in 2014, providing exceptional hospitality services. Jonathan also served as a Commissioning Engineering Intern at The Epsten Group in 2015, performing site analyses and inspections. Jonathan further expanded their skills as a Sidewalk Quality Researcher at the Center for Transportation Operations and Safety at Georgia Tech. In 2016, they joined Amazon as a Manager, leading multiple store functions and achieving growth beyond projections. Jonathan then worked as an APQP Engineering Intern at Magna International, optimizing manufacturing processes and designing fixtures for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. In 2018, they served as a Software Development Student Assistant at Georgia Tech Research Institute. Jonathan'smost recent role is as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, where they have been involved in product design and research & development.

Jonathan Thompkins attended Phillips Academy from 2009 to 2013. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Design & German Minors at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2018. Currently, they are enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying Systems Engineering, and is expected to complete their Master of Engineering degree in 2023.
