Michael Degnan is an accomplished leader in the financial services and technology innovation sectors, currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Innovation at PNC since July 2018, where Michael leads an internal consultancy, lab, and incubator focused on customer, business, and technology innovations. Additionally, since January 2021, Michael holds the position of Head of Technology Innovation and PNC Director at the Center for Financial Services Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University, bridging academic research and industry challenges. Michael's investment roles include supporting companies like Candidly, Digital Onboarding, Inc., Alpharank, and Sandbox Banking, among others, focusing on solutions ranging from student debt relief to enhancing customer onboarding processes for banks. Previously, Michael founded Explorer Advisory & Capital, served as Senior Vice President at Santander Bank, and was a founding team member at Moven. Michael holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Columbia University, with additional studies in Computer Science.
