Carla Bonina, PhD, serves as an Associate Professor at Surrey Business School, University of Surrey since September 2014, where Carla has held roles including Senior Lecturer and Co-founder of the Surrey Center of Digital Economy. With expertise in technology innovation and entrepreneurship, Carla is also a Fellow at the Surrey Institute for People-Centred AI and leads efforts at The Veterinary Health Innovation Engine, focusing on digital technologies in animal health. Additionally, Carla is a Research Affiliate with Data-Pop Alliance, engages in open data research through the Iniciativa Latinoamericana por los Datos Abiertos (ILDA), and has contributed as a Consultant to The World Bank. Carla holds a PhD in Information Systems from The London School of Economics and has acquired extensive academic and professional credentials across multiple prestigious institutions.
