Lu Xiao has a diverse range of experience in education and community engagement, currently serving in multiple roles at Sheffield City Council, the University of Sheffield, and Sanctuary Search since 2013. As part of the Young Community Leaders Programme, Lu Xiao has contributed to community-building initiatives while also functioning as a Tutorial Demonstrator and Residential Orientation Coordinator at the University of Sheffield. Additional responsibilities include working as a Student Recruitment Headhunter at Sanctuary Search and as a Teaching Assistant at Kaplan International Colleges. Lu Xiao's earlier roles at the University of Sheffield include positions as a Student Ambassador and Research Assistant, alongside internships that have enhanced skills in academic support and research. Lu Xiao's educational background includes a BEng in Biomaterials Science and Tissue Engineering from the University of Sheffield and ongoing studies towards an M.Phil. in Mathematical Biology.
