Laura Hammond

Collection Development & Branch Librarian at San Jose Public Library

Laura Hammond is an experienced librarian and educator currently serving as a remote adjunct librarian and faculty member at Fresno City College since September 2021, teaching courses in research skills and library services. With a diverse background in library services, Laura has worked at the San Jose Public Library as a central selector, managed reference and instruction at Mission College, and provided adult and children's services at the Santa Clara County Library District. Additionally, Laura brings expertise from roles in user experience research, including consulting and leading projects at LMH Research and UEGroup. A graduate of San Jose State University with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz, Laura has also contributed to community organizations, including serving as a program manager for Silicon Valley Roller Girls.
