Jasmine Alvarez is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in therapeutic settings and youth advocacy. Currently serving as a Mental Health Therapist at the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project since December 2021, Jasmine has been a Youth Advocate and founding member at United Playaz Leadership Development & Violence Prevention since October 1994. Previously, Jasmine worked as a Mental Health Specialist and Therapist at Instituto Familiar de la Raza from February 2011 to July 2021, providing critical Child-Parent Psychotherapy and mental health consultation in educational environments. With a background in behavior modification and marketing, Jasmine possesses a rich blend of therapeutic and community engagement skills, supported by advanced degrees in Counseling Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.
