Nancy Tung has extensive experience in the legal field, working in various roles for different organizations. Nancy began their career in 2001 as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice - Office of the Attorney General. From there, they moved on to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, where they served as an Assistant District Attorney from 2006 to 2017. Tung then joined the Alameda County District Attorney's Office as a Deputy District Attorney from 2017 to 2022. Nancy recently became the Chief of the Vulnerable Victims Unit and Community Partnerships at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office in 2022. Additionally, Tung has been an active member of the San Francisco Democratic Party since 2020.
Nancy Tung earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1993 to 1996. Nancy then pursued further education at Georgetown University Law Center, where they obtained their Doctor of Law degree (JD) from 1996 to 1999.
