Tommy Tong is a highly experienced immunologist currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at San Diego Biomedical Research Institute since September 2021. Prior to this role, Tommy Tong was an Associate Professor at Sunway University from July 2015 to August 2021 and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies from February 2010 to September 2014, where Tommy Tong worked under the guidance of Professor James Binley on HIV-1 vaccine research. Tommy Tong holds two PhDs in Immunology from Burnet Institute and Monash University, both completed in December 2009.
