Kai (Kaila) Potts-Smith is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in various roles within the music industry. Currently serving as the Music Department Chair and Faculty at Idyllwild Arts Foundation since August 2022, Potts-Smith is also the founder of YOUnison Yoga and Music by Kai, established in 2017. A performing artist with the Sphinx Organization since 1998, Potts-Smith has held key positions as a violist with several orchestras, including the San Antonio Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, where the role of Assistant Principal Viola was performed. In addition to musical endeavors, Potts-Smith has demonstrated expertise in marketing and business coaching through leadership positions at Health & Wellness Business School and Abundant Yogi LLC. Potts-Smith holds a Master's degree in Music Performance from the University of Southern California and dual Bachelor's degrees in Music from the University of Cincinnati, specializing in Viola and Violin.
