Salgu Wissmath is a professional documentary photographer and communications director currently serving as a Photo Fellow at San Antonio Express-News, under the Hearst Fellowship program. With extensive freelance experience, Salgu Wissmath has contributed to notable publications such as The New York Times and NPR. Additional roles include Communications Director at Diversify Photo LLC, where Salgu Wissmath manages social media and newsletters to promote diversity in the photography industry, and previous experience as a Communications Coordinator at Clara’s House Clinic, focusing on content creation and fundraising. Salgu Wissmath holds a Master of Arts in Photography from Ohio University and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
