Peter Scamardo is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in sports reporting and editorial roles. Currently serving as Regional Editor for mySA since September 2023 and as a Copyeditor for San Antonio Express-News since February 2022, Peter has previously held positions such as Assistant Sports Editor and Sports Reporter at Victoria Advocate and a freelance writer for various notable publications. Peter's background includes covering athletics for The Austin American-Statesman and The Dallas Morning News, as well as contributing to The Bryan Eagle. Peter’s career began with a freelance writing stint and included internships at The Key Reporter and Houston Chronicle. Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Houston in 2019.
