Sumit Walia has over 18 years of experience in marketing and product management within the consumer electronics and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of D2C and Corporate Marketing at Samsung Electronics since September 2020, Sumit has held various leadership roles, including Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing and Head of Marketing Communication for the Mobile Business. Previously, Sumit was Vice President of Product and Marketing at OPPO and contributed significantly to Samsung Electronics in various capacities, including Director and Category Head for smartphones and mobile phones. Early career experience includes positions at Tata Tele Business Services, Huawei Technologies, LG Electronics, and Videocon Industries, showcasing a steady progression through roles focused on device planning, marketing strategy, and sales management. Sumit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Nagpur University.
