Soohyung Kim possesses extensive experience in engineering and process development, currently serving as Vice President and Head of New Process and Equipment Development at Samsung Electronics since January 2019, leading multidisciplinary teams focused on advanced display and optical technologies. Previous roles include Module Process Project Lead at Apple, where innovative manufacturing processes for AR/VR products were developed, and Mechanical Integration Lead at HGST, managing high-performance storage device projects. Soohyung Kim's career began at Seagate Technology, specializing in magnetic hardware component evaluation, and early work at Samsung involved designing consumer electronics. Educationally, Soohyung Kim earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University.
