Phil Davies has a diverse work experience in the field of solution engineering. Phil is currently working at Samsara as a Solution Engineering Manager since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Salesforce as the Director of Solution Engineering from January 2020 to June 2023. In this role, they managed a team of 30 Solution Engineers and was responsible for sales processes, resource allocations, and strategic direction. Before joining Salesforce, Phil worked at ClickSoftware as the Director of Solution Consulting EMEA from July 2008 to January 2020. Phil also gained experience as a Senior Presales consultant at iAnywhere from February 2005 to June 2008, a Technical Director at Handheld PCs from October 2003 to February 2005, and a Senior Presales Consultant at CorVu from October 2002 to October 2003. Phil's earlier roles include being a Senior Presales Consultant at Ascential Software from June 1999 to October 2002, and a PreSales Consultant at PECC from November 1995 to June 1999.

Phil Davies has a strong education background in both computer science and geological and earth sciences/geosciences. In 1990, they enrolled at Bangor University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences in 1993. Afterward, they continued their education at Keele University, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 1994 to 1995.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Phil Davies has also obtained a certification as a Salesforce Certified Administrator from Salesforce in April 2020.
