Kelsey Karin Hawley has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and management. In 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at DataCare, where they handled patient cases and implemented user-focused feature updates. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Web Application Developer at Internet Archive, where they migrated the main code repository and enhanced website accessibility. In 2015, they joined UtilityAPI as a Software Developer, building and maintaining website scrapers and custom parsers. Subsequently, in 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Medal, creating a Flask app for patient record analysis and developing an email templating structure. In 2017, they joined Girls Who Code as a Summer Immersion Program Instructor, teaching computer science fundamentals and guiding final projects. Kelsey Karin also worked concurrently at Honor as a Senior Software Engineer, collaborating with teams, implementing a user role and permissioning system, and building an internal SMS texting platform. In 2018, they briefly served as an Instructor at Hackbright Academy. From 2020 to 2023, Kelsey worked at Juniper Square, initially as a Staff Software Engineer, then as a Development Team Lead, and finally as an Engineering Manager.
