Currently, they hold the position of Scientific Affairs Liaison at Sampled, where they act as a consultant, educator, and science communicator. Their responsibilities include updating customers on new technologies, identifying growth opportunities for the company, and providing scientific feedback on company documents.

Prior to their current role, Jung-Eun Lee worked at Springer Nature as a Senior Editor and Associate Editor for Communications Biology. This open-access multidisciplinary journal focused on publishing research papers that advance various specialized areas of biology.

Jung-Eun also has experience at the University of Michigan as a Research Investigator and Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Their research focused on understanding the pro-immune regulatory network and the effects of protein restriction on innate immunity. Their work has resulted in prestigious awards, conference presentations, and publications.

Before their time at the University of Michigan, Jung-Eun Lee was a Graduate Research Assistant at Rutgers University, where they conducted research on the circadian regulation of innate immunity and the role of the head fat body. Jung-Eun successfully published a high-profile work on the impact of infection time on an animal's ability to fight off pathogenic bacteria.
