Vanja Skougaard is a seasoned financial professional with substantial experience in controlling and auditing. Currently serving as a Senior Controller at Sampension since March 2020, Vanja is responsible for financial management of two pension funds, each with over 10,000 members and a total asset balance of 10 billion. Previously, from August 1999 to October 2019, Vanja held multiple roles at Danske Bank Group, including Senior Group Controller, where responsibilities included internal monthly financial reporting and system controls, and Senior Auditor, leading teams in audit planning and execution. Early career roles included positions as an Erhvervsrådgiver and Privatrådgiver, advising both business and private clients on various financial products. Vanja's academic background includes a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Southern Denmark and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.
