Roger Arnold is a seasoned forestry and research professional with extensive experience in tree breeding and silviculture research. Currently serving as Senior Manager - Research at Samling Group of Companies since July 2023, Roger Arnold focuses on improving tree growth and silvicultural practices. Previously, Roger Arnold held the position of Head of Silviculture R&D at Stora Enso from January 2020 to June 2023 and contributed as a part-time Tree Breeder at Samling Group of Companies from November 2014 to May 2023. Roger Arnold's early career includes significant roles such as Research Scientist at the China Eucalypt Research Centre and Tree Improvement Manager at APRIL. With an academic background that includes a Ph.D. in Tree Breeding and Statistics from North Carolina State University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Tree Breeding and Ecology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Roger Arnold is well-equipped with both practical expertise and theoretical knowledge in the field.
