Dena Batrice is a highly experienced mental health professional and organizational leader with extensive expertise in designing and implementing mental health programs, particularly for underserved populations, including LGBTQI+ individuals. Currently, Dena serves as Co-Founder and Director of Operations and Clinical Programmes at SameSame Collective, focusing on global mental health initiatives. Previous roles include MHPSS and Leadership Advisor at Restore Hope Liberia, and Senior MHPSS Program Manager during the Ukraine response at Americares. Dena has also held significant positions at StrongMinds, overseeing large-scale depression treatment initiatives across Uganda and Zambia, and held roles at ICAP at Columbia University, contributing to a substantial portfolio of health projects in multiple countries. Dena's academic background includes advanced degrees in social work from The University of Texas at Austin and international social work from New York University.
