Tianren Gao is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at SambaNova Systems since July 2021, Tianren leads the Model Analyzer and Compiler team, focusing on training and inference for various advanced models on a novel Data-Flow hardware architecture. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant position at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research, where research centered on on-device adaptive text-to-speech technology, and a Software Engineer Internship at ByteDance AI Lab, contributing to TikTok’s music tagging service. Additional roles involved full-stack development at Berkeley DeepDrive, where Tianren developed a crowd-annotating system for autonomous-driving datasets. Tianren holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
