Mikaela Gorman is a Multimedia Journalist at SaltWire Network since May 2022, where responsibilities include preparing and publishing content from various community papers and managing social media promotion. Gorman is the owner/operator and creative of CHOWDERHEAD, a Maritime media production company, and has contributed as a freelance journalist for Wayves Magazine, focusing on trans-issues. Additional freelance writing has been done for The Beaverton and extensive podcast editing for Podstarter and Rolled Up Podcasts. Gorman has also held volunteer and leadership roles with the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Party and produced media for reachAbility Association. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of King's College and a Bachelor's degree in History from Acadia University.
