Joseph Bentley began their professional career in 2013 as a Teacher's Assistant at Grand Valley State University, where they worked under Professor Zachary Kurmas for primarily their Computer Architecture class, CIS451. Joseph was responsible for helping guide students through labs, as well as grading lab assignments and some homework assignments. Joseph also provided off the clock tutoring and debugging. In 2014, they took on an IT Intern role at Jackson, where they worked on a project to automate data formatting and manipulation in VBA. In 2015, they joined SalesPad, LLC as a C# Software Developer on the Solutions Services team. Theirrole involved detailed requirements gathering and quoting with clients, tight development timelines with budgetary restraints, and deliveries with debugging of the client's live environment. Projects ranged from small scripting assignments to month long integrations with third party APIs.
