Rui Azevedo Costa is a seasoned sales leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as the Area Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Salesforce since July 2015. In this role, Rui oversees a large sales organization focused on supporting Small Businesses, driving efficient growth, and evolving go-to-market strategies. Previous roles at Salesforce include leadership positions across various regions, emphasizing turnaround efforts, market share growth, and customer success for Startups and Small & Medium Businesses. Prior to Salesforce, Rui worked at Oracle in various sales roles, driving revenue through business development and customer engagement initiatives. Rui holds an Executive Education Certificate in Leadership from IESE Business School and a BSc in Business Administration and Management from Universidade Europeia, along with additional educational achievements from ESMT Berlin and the University of National and World Economy.
