Lauren Barlis is an accomplished education and customer experience leader with a robust background in improving operational efficiency and educational outcomes. Currently serving as Assistant Director of CX Insights at Step Up For Students since January 2024, Lauren previously held various roles within the same organization, including Vice President of Customer Experience, where leadership of a customer service team resulted in reduced wait times and improved call resolutions. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Director of Student Learning, overseeing professional development for private schools, and directing research initiatives like the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress. Educationally, Lauren holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master's degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, all obtained from the University of Florida. Prior teaching experience includes instructing undergraduate courses and working as an English teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools.
