Michael Jordan

Director Of Special Events at SAINT LOUIS ZOO

Michael Jordan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael began their career in 2010 as an Event Management Intern at Optimist International. Michael then worked as a Sales Associate at JCPenney before moving on to become a Sports Information Student Assistant at Lindenwood University, where they helped with media guides, rosters, and statistics for different sports teams. In 2011, Jordan worked as a Medical Records Clerk at Signature Health Services. Michael also had a significant role at Vetta Sports Club, where they supervised camp counselors and coordinated with parents as a Summer Camp staff member.

In 2012, Jordan joined the Saint Louis Zoo as a Group Sales Facilitator before being promoted to an Event Services Supervisor. Michael played a key role in coordinating events, meetings, and group functions. Michael also managed client engagement and scheduling of staff and volunteers. Jordan then worked at Butler's Pantry, where they initially served as a Sales & Catering Manager before becoming a Special Events Coordinator at the Saint Louis Zoo in 2014. Michael returned to Butler's Pantry as a Catering & Operations Manager and eventually became the Director of Operations.

Most recently, starting in 2018, Jordan joined the Saint Louis Zoo once again, this time as the Manager of Catering Operations. Michael is currently working in this position. Michael'smost recent promotion came in March 2020 when they were appointed as the Director of Special Events at the Saint Louis Zoo. Overall, Jordan has shown versatility and a strong background in event management, sales, operations, and customer service throughout their career.

Michael Jordan attended Lindbergh High School, but it's unclear when they started or ended their studies there and what degree or field of study they pursued. Michael later attended Missouri State University from 2006 to 2008, where they focused on the field of business but did not obtain a degree. Finally, from 2009 to 2011, they enrolled at Lindenwood University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management.
