Greg Hierlihy has over 30 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Greg is currently the Director of Finance and Administration at Saint John Airport Inc., a position they have held since July 2017. In March 2021, they took on an additional role as the Interim President and CEO of the company, which lasted until December 2021.

Prior to their current position, Greg worked at J.D. Irving, Limited from 2003 to 2017. During their time there, they held various roles including Director of Finance, Corporate Services; Director, Accounting and Reporting; Director Financial Planning and Analysis; Director of Finance, JDI Financial Services; Director of Finance, Irving Equipment Division; and Director, Business Development.

Before joining J.D. Irving, Limited, Greg worked at Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Manager from 2000 to 2003. Greg started their career at EY in 1988 as a Staff Accountant and eventually became a Principal before leaving in 2000.

Greg Hierlihy holds professional designations as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and has also earned an MBA.

Greg Hierlihy, CA, CBV, MBA completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from UNBSJ in the years 1984 to 1988. Greg then pursued further education at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA). In addition to their degrees, Greg Hierlihy received certifications as a Chartered Business Valuator from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators in September 2001. Greg also holds the certification of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) from the Chartered Professional Accountants institution; however, the exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
