Matthew Thompson is a Senior Research Engineer at Saint-Gobain, with a tenure beginning in January 2012. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Missouri University of Science and Technology from August 2007 to December 2011, focusing on ultrahigh temperature ceramics and teaching sintering, mud lab, and introductory ceramics courses. Matthew's early career featured internships with Owens Corning and Owens Corning Fiberglas, where investigations into environmental impact data and glass technology were conducted. Additionally, Matthew contributed as an undergraduate researcher at Alfred University from 2003 to 2007. Matthew holds a PhD in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Alfred University.
