Vladimir Capka is a seasoned professional in analytical chemistry with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biomedical fields. Currently serving as the Director of Research Analytical Chemistry at Sail Biomedicines, Capka leads lipid analysis research to innovate naturally-inspired programmable lipid nanoparticle drugs. Previous roles include Principal Scientist II and Mass Spectrometry Lab Head at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, where Capka supported drug discovery through multidisciplinary collaborations and AAV gene therapy initiatives. Capka has also held leadership positions at AstraZeneca and Tandem Labs, focusing on mass spectrometry and bioanalytical methods. With a Ph.D. in Clinical-Bioanalytical Chemistry from Cleveland State University and a strong educational background in Analytical Chemistry from Comenius University, Capka brings a rich mix of research and technical expertise to advance therapeutic platforms.
